I remember…

I just finished work on a TOP SECRET project– yup, I had to sign on the dotted line– for a product which I’d never use. Just yesterday in fact, I weighed in on Facebook regarding the mandatory need to eat only natural and organic food and received in reply this comment: “oy.”

Howev I just had an emergency and it was this product to the rescue. I can report that I am at present experiencing a new kind of happiness. It is not the result of organic chemistry coursing through my otherwise pure bloodstream  but ingredients I’ve not knowingly ingested in my lifetime.

I might skip yoga today.

Mothers: don’t teach your daughters solitaire.

My mother taught me little of practical value: wear a skirt when you travel so that your hem doesn’t touch bathroom floors, for example.

Here however is something of genius: iced coffee cubes. Brew a bit extra in the morning and freeze. Later, you’ll savor an undiluted quencher.

It’s a zillion degrees outside. My Norwegian neighbor, Tula, aged 90, is repairing her pavement. I ask her what her secret is and she says, ” I stopped vacuuming 20 years ago.”
